A stunning picture of Game of Thrones characters made using table salt

Dino Tomic recently decided to give his wrist a break from drawing and started to construct stunning artwork using table salt and a small bottle.

Dino Tomic enjoys testing new methods for creating his artwork

The 27 year old, who is currently residing in Norway, meticulously pours the salt on to a black canvas to create striking pieces; including a galloping horse, a tiger and characters from TV series Game of Thrones.

The only materials Dino uses are table salt and a small bottle to carefully empty it on the canvas

Dino said: “I wanted to test out new and interesting things that I, or many others, have not done.

The large mandala took Dino 25 hours to make

“It takes an average of one to three days of work depending on the size."

The artist then destroys his masterpieces shortly after completing them by running his hands across the canvas and smudging the salt out of place.

The fact that Dino ruins a beautiful portrait often shocks people who admire his work, but there is a reason behind his actions.

Dino has always wanted to be an artist and is now living his dream

He said: “You can’t preserve them. It symbolises the fact that nothing lasts forever.”

He often uses salt to create portraits of animals and popular characters

When discussing his entire collection, Dino identified his most pleasing salt project as the large mandala that took him 25 hours to make.
