The stunning pictures were taken by Indonesian amateur photographer Andri Priyadi in a river close to his home in the Larangan district of Tangerang City in Banten province.
The 29-year-old graphic designer waded into the water to get the perfect vantage point on the dragonflies' x-rated antics.
Andri said: "I had a lot of trouble taking this picture, because the dragonflies were positioned in the branches above the water.
"That meant I had to go into the water, but thankfully it wasn't too deep."
He said: "I was very pleased to be able to get this picture, because capturing the moment of dragonflies mating is not easy.
