The 17-year-old's ghastly videos include lifelike footage of bloody chopped-off hands, open surgical wounds and even broken bones.
The self-taught artist began experimenting with effects when she was just twelve years old using her own homemade scar wax.
Amanda, from Ansonia, Connecticut, said: “The first special-effects piece that I made I did not know what I was doing.
“I found old putty in a Halloween kit and I spread it around my arm and I took a pencil and drew a line in it.
“I took a picture and I sent it to my friends and they thought it was real. From that point on I was so interested.”
Bigger pieces like a surgical wound can take up to three to four hours and smaller cuts about five to ten minutes.
Amanda added “I sculpt all the way to the bone, the muscle, the body fat and the outer skin.
“Sometimes I make my own prosthetics, like moulding something into my brother’s hand and even my own foot.”
She has a fanbase of 22,000 on Instagram who enjoy her blood-gushing creations but includes a disclaimer on most of her work to reassure everyone that it’s not real.
“When I show my friends at school the effects I've done the previous night they cringe or sway away and say ‘get the phone away from me’,” Amanda added.
“I've had some negative reactions like ‘oh my god what’s wrong with you.’
“At one point some told me to delete my account."
Amanda now wants to take it a step further and turn her hobby into a career.
She said “What I’m planning next is to go off and do four years at university to get my bachelors in studio arts while at the same time freelancing.
“After I achieve that I’m going to a special-effects makeup school to be certified as a professional makeup artist.”
