The grey seals were in a playful mood as they dove with married photographers Caroline and Nick Robertson-Brown.
The British pair organise trips near the Puffin Islands in Anglesey and Farne Islands in Northumberland under the name Frogfish Photography.
The experienced photographers and divers are enthusiastic wildlife conservationists.
Nick is running in the general election for the Altrincham and Sale West constituency for the Green Party to raise awareness of the need for marine conservation zones.
They were thrilled by the friendly young animals which inspected their cameras and flippers.
Caroline, said: “We have been diving with the seals of the Farne Islands and Puffin Island for about 10 years now.
“They are an iconic British marine species, and we are lucky enough to have protected them in our waters and saved them from extinction.
“When diving with the seals we are usually in quite shallow water, up to 10m in depth and sometimes right at the surface.
“We can spend hours playing with them, until the cold water finally means our fingers can no longer operate the camera controls.
“To be honest, they are a bit like diving with puppies who want attention all the time.”
