"Legographer" Benedek Lampert built this festive lego set to depict Santa's journey to the Star Wars universe

Created by photographer and lego superfan Benedek Lampert, the set follows Santa’s journey through the Hoth and shows Darth Vader furiously checking Santa’s good list - spoiler, he definitely wasn’t on it.

Each lego series usually takes up to a month to complete

Licking his wounds, Darth Vader and a pair of his loyal stormtroopers later choose to roll some giant snowballs instead - perhaps looking to teach Santa Claus a lesson.

One photo can take approximately three hours to perfect

Benedek said: “Each series was made in my house or immediate environment, I started the Christmas series at the end of November, so I created a really close deadline for myself to finish the series.

The photographer started his festive set in November - giving himself a tight deadline to create some Christmas Star Wars magic

“I started Lego photography - or I should say ‘legography' - in June 2016. I had attempted some earlier, but back then I didn’t have enough technical knowledge or suitable equipment.

“I love Lego and I’m a big fan of Star Wars, so this combination isn’t surprising. But I also got some inspiration from Vesa Lehtimaki, who is a Finnish Lego photographer.”

Every series the Hungarian photographer creates can take up to a month to complete, but one photo usually takes about three hours to finish.

Darth Vader eagerly checked the list to see if he would get a gift

Benedek added: “When I create the photos I first imagine it in my mind, after that I try to carry out it out in front of the camera.

“Sometimes I’ll spend many hours with a scene, but even so I won’t get an acceptable picture.

“I haven’t got an explicit plan for future projects, but I’m thinking about a collection inspired by short stories.”
