The spooky figures, who are made out of brightly coloured lights, appear to only come out at night.
In true Halloween spirit, some of them were even see dancing around a pumpkin head in a dark forest.
One of the chilling characters was seen standing on top of a disregarded boat, while another was sitting near some graffiti-covered shipping containers.
A bright green skeleton was even seen walking the grounds of Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian, Scotland.
In one of the images a skeleton is seen standing in a forest, with pumpkins heads made of light filling the air around him.
The eerie scenes were created by photographer and artist Janne Parviainen, who would come out in the dead of night to put together his incredible artworks.
The 35-year-old from Helsinki, Finland, took the majority of the images in his hometown, and used a technique called light painting.
He explained: "All the photos are done with the camera set on a tripod on long exposure in a low lit space.
"The necessary areas in the photo are then lit with a flashlight and the light creatures are done by drawing them with different colored led lights.
"While the camera is on long exposure in darkness it captures only bright lights so it's easy to walk in the photo area without leaving traces in the photo."
Some of the images show men made entirely of light being haunted by ghosts, or loitering in deserted streets.
Janne's work was exhibited in Edinburgh in May, which is where he was inspired to create his image at the nearby Rossyln Chapel.
More of his artworks will be displayed at an exhibition in the city next month.
Janne said: "I like to create new stories and worlds from our everyday surroundings and for that light painting is an absolutely perfect art medium.
"It also feels like an adventure for myself too when I'm exploring these creepy abandoned areas and buildings where I wouldn't very likely go at night otherwise."
The spooky photos were created between August 2014 and October 2015.
