'Cobbled Road'

Scottish Artist, David Gilliver has been at it again with his tiny figurines and has created a series of healthy living based works for the start of 2017.

'Ring Push'

He said: "We all seem to be full of good intentions at the start of a new year - the Little People are no different.

'I like to ride my....'

“Most of us proclaim that we are going to eat more healthily, exercise more or take up a new sport.”

A group of joggers run across a xylophone, and a gentleman skateboards on the inside of an egg. However abseiling down a lightbulb filament may not be the brightest idea!

'Home Straight'

David, who studied at The Glasgow School of Art, has been creating his tiny scenarios for over 10 years. His small community are no strangers to being positioned on giant food.

'Healthy Living'

The 36-year-old artist said: "I often enjoy having the Little People interact with food as I think their tiny scale works well when set against various types of food.

'Do Re Mi Run'

"That said, perhaps some of my inspiration was more sub-conscious as we have a young toddler at home who will not eat her greens!”

'Do or doughnut, there is no try'

The Little People may need to make the most of these light-hearted scenes, as David is planning a more serious set of works.

'Water cress'

He said: "I am about to begin working on a slighter darker series of photographs involving the Little People - so watch this space…”
