Pucker up: Monica and Sid are excited to start a family of their own

The 28-year-old ballooned to 700lbs and hoped to become so large that she became bedbound under the care of her feeder fiancé, Sid.

But after suffering two miscarriages, Monica – who is now pregnant again – is overhauling her lifestyle so she can have a healthy pregnancy and be a fit mum.

Monica said: “At one point in my life, I wanted to be the biggest woman in the world. I wanted to be bedbound and immobile and be fed ever more.

"But now that I am pregnant, it’s been a wake up call.”

Monica, who is 15 weeks pregnant, is now on a mission to fight the flab, and has already lost 201lbs in just ten weeks, taking her down to 499lbs.

“I want to be able to be active with my child. I want to be able to get up and with him or her and be involved in every way. You can’t do that if you’re immobile,” she said.

She found out she was pregnant for the first time last summer. The news came as a surprise but the couple was overjoyed at the prospect of becoming parents.

But Monica was at her heaviest weight of 700lbs and continued to indulge in her extreme diet, unaware of the potential harm this could cause to the baby.

Parents-to-be: Sid and Monica are eagerly awaiting their first child

But a matter of weeks after finding out their good news their hopes were shattered when a 12 week scan showed that the fetus was missing an arm and the lower part of its body.

The child would never have survived and Monica was given medication to help her pass the rest of the fetus.

Monica and Sid continued to try for a baby and a few months later Monica found out she was pregnant for the second time, but tragically she began bleeding heavily on Christmas Eve at 14 weeks and suffered another miscarriage.

Monica, from Fort Worth, Texas, said: “I was depressed and crying a lot. I picked myself up and just kept going. I just had to put it behind me and I pretty much pretended that it never happened.”

Monica blamed herself for the miscarriages, and after finding out she had developed type two diabetes due to her size, she and Sid decided to put their plans to start a family on hold.

But in March, the couple were surprised to find out that Monica was pregnant for a third time. Although they hadn’t been using protection, Monica had not had a period since the miscarriage and didn’t think she was ovulating.

Monica said: “I do think my weight affected the previous pregnancies. There is no clear medical evidence but I think if I was healthier the babies would have been stronger. I accept that my eating habits were terrible.

“I feel guilty for having the miscarriage and knowing that I could have changed the things that I ate.

"I have been told all my life that I needed to lose weight and after a while it sort of loses its urgency. I thought everything would be fine.

“When I first found out I was pregnant this time I was really nervous and scared because I knew that I had to change a lot of stuff.

"I don’t want to lose any more babies and I didn’t realize how dangerous it was to be pregnant at this size before. I want to be healthy enough for the baby to keep growing.

Expectant: Sid and Monica are looking forward to the pitter patter of tiny feet

“This time I am doing lots differently. Doctors told me I had to lose weight and Sid has encouraged me too.

“I am changing the way I eat, I’m exercising, and taking care of my body. I’m trying to get proper sleep every night and walking every day and I feel different already.

“I am still very heavy. So walking is still hard but I am getting energy back now.”

Before, Monica would devour six scones, six sausages in a bread roll, a big bowl of sugary cereal, two weight gain shakes, four McChicken sandwiches, four double cheeseburgers, a large French fries, 30 chicken nuggets, macaroni cheese, Taco bell and a gallon of ice cream on the average day, eating constantly throughout the day.

Healthy future: Monica plans to continue losing weight after the baby is born

Now she eats healthy salads and steamed veg with chicken breast, and is undertaking daily walks to boost her weight loss.

But it hasn’t been an easy transition for Monica.

Monica said: “The diet has been very difficult. There has been a lot of crying and a lot of mental challenges. Food for me was an addiction pretty much, just like alcohol or drugs.

“Now, I am eating 2,000 calories a day compared to 10,000, so it is a big difference.

“There are healthy foods that I absolutely love, like avocados and brussel sprouts. I enjoy chicken breast with steamed vegetables for dinner, but I have to admit that I do miss cheese and pasta.”

And although Monica’s weight was what initially attracted chubby-chaser Sid, she believes that becoming parents will strengthen their relationship, even as she becomes slimmer – despite her initial fear that he would become less attracted to her.

Grubs up: Monica now eats 2,000 calories a day compared to 10,000 before

Monica said: “There was a part of me that worried as I lost weight that Sid would lose interest in me sexually. We did meet on a fat fetish website just over a year ago and I know he loves my curves.

“I spoke to him about it and he has reassured me that he loves me no matter what size I am.”

Sid added: “I am not just attracted to her body. I am attracted to her as a whole complete person.

“At this point, I don’t care if she’s even 120 pounds. I told her even if she’s tiny, I would still be in love with her. There aren’t two ways about it.”

Now Monica and Sid, who is an average size and has always eaten healthily, are looking forward to the future and plan to continue their healthy regime after the baby is born.

And Monica hopes to swap fetish modelling for plus size fashion modelling.

Monica said: “I am definitely going to continue losing weight. I will never be skinny. I have always been a big girl, it’s the way I’m built and I’m still going to be always chubby. I just want to be healthy for our family.

“I hope I can continue modelling but I’d like to leave the fetish stuff behind after I give birth.

“I don’t have a goal weight in mind, it’s more about health than size. The pregnancy is progressing well and the baby has a strong heartbeat.

“We are going to encourage the baby to eat well as he or she grows up. I don’t want my child to think that being fat is wrong, I just want them to be active, healthy and happy.

Sid added: “We just want the baby to be healthy so we can finally start our life together as a family and maybe even have more kids in the future.

"I just want to give him or her the best life I can, and that’s all that matters."
