Roses Are Red: Praying Mantis Offers Flowers For Fellow Insects

The quirky image was taken by Yudy Sauw, 34, from Tangerang in Indonesia.

The macro photograph was taken once Yudy had spotted a bush nearby his home teeming with the long-limbed creatures

He then spotted the three brown praying mantis on the branch and decided to add the white flower for a romantic effect.

He said: “It was spontaneous idea to added flower in. I like these pictures because they tell a story – a love story.

“I love insects because they have a unique shape and are very diverse - also I can learn from their lives.”
