Beauty and beast: Make up Artist transforms herself into gruesome creatures

Not for the faint hearted, these gruesome makeovers make Freddy Kruger look like a runway model.

Kiana Jones, a make up artist from Perth, Australia, has gained a massive following online with her unique make up tutorials - inviting her fans to see her transform.

Less contouring and more conjuring each tutorial on her YouTube channel Freakmo, showcases Kiana’s creativity a feat that is even more impressive as she is self taught.

Her mad makeovers range from bloody bullet wounds, severed fingers, infected injuries and iconic monsters such as Clicker from the popular Playstation video game, The Last Of Us.

Kiana said: “In terms of makeup I am self-taught, and I love gore and simulated injury the most - as I'm sure you will quickly learn from browsing my channel. I'm obsessed with details, and always aim for highly realistic makeup, getting everything anatomically correct, while making it fun and safe.”

The talented internet star is currently studying for her Phd in visual art and uses her background in art to make her crazy transformations.

Each creation is a painstaking process with some taking several days to be completed.

The self taught make up artist uses a variety of different materials for her creations ranging from clay to latex.

One of her most creative tutorials saw her transform to “Shake It Off” singer, Taylor Swift, with half of her face ripped off.

She said: “I like the ascetics of her music video, I’m also of a similar age, height, build and have a similar hair cut to Taylor Swift.”

With more than 300,000 people subscribed to her YouTube channel, Kiana has cemented herself as one of the biggest stars in SFX online.
