Menacing supercells and sky-shattering lightning dominate the images, which were captured by Slovenian storm chaser Marko Korosec.
The adrenaline junkie, who has possessed an interest in extreme weather since primary school, started photographing storms more than 15 years ago.
Throughout May this year he travelled through towns such as Dalhart, Bledsoe, and Gordon in Texas, where he shot a cloud-to-ground lightning strike, and supercells mushrooming in the sky.
His daring exploits also saw him sweep through Kansas, Colorado, South Dakota, and New Mexico, snapping breathtaking cloud formations and potentially fatal tornadoes.
