Practice makes perfect: The daredevil practises his unicycling before climbing the structure

Filmed in December 2014, this incredible footage shows Romanian daredevil Flaviu Cernescu climb unaided up an electrical tower and a wind turbine.

After surviving the climb unscathed, Flaviu reaches the top of the turbine

The 33-year-old then balances on top of both structures while riding a one-wheeled bicycle on top of the latter.

Flaviu approaches the 35 metre high turbine

The footage was shot on top of Semenic Mountain, Romania - which is home to a ski resort and has an altitude of 1,400metres.

Flaviu poses for a selfie against the backdrop of the huge turbine

Flaviu explained that both the tower and the wind turbine, which stand at 50 metres and 35 metres high respectively, were closed during the winter period.

Head for heights: The 33-year-old balances precariously along the top of the electrical tower

He said: “Both the tower and the turbine were out of use so there was no risk of getting electrocuted.

Long way down: Flaviu keeps his calm while scaling the tower

“The two structures are about a mile apart from each other and are both close to the summit of the mountain.

Danger, danger, high voltage: The action man, who has a GoPro strapped to his head, takes another look down

“The danger from riding the unicycling on the turbine did not come from the height - the risk comes from having deadly exposure on both sides. Falling in either direction is not an option.

Life in the balance: The Romanian proves he has a head for heights

“I am aware of the risks and mostly stay within 99% of what I know I can do. However there is the 1% of luck that we all need to succeed in our plans.

Flaviu is dwarfed by the huge structure which he has conquered

“I feel both excited and scared when performing these stunts - it's a blend of feelings that take me to the zone.

“I started riding unicycles about 10 years ago and while it started as a curiosity, it soon became a real passion.”
