Snapper Dikky Oesin captured the bizarre moment while photographing his pet saltwater crocodile in the rainforest.
The 39-year-old couldn’t believe his eyes when the Oriental whip snake suddenly interrupted - and appeared to pose for the camera like Ben Stiller in the Zoolander films.
Dikky, who owns a car-parts store in Jakarta, Indonesia, said: “My friends and I wanted to get photographs of our pet crocodiles out in the wild.
"We took our pets into the woods in an area of West Java and began taking pictures.
“Suddenly an Oriental whip snake dropped down from the tree in front of us.
"I paused for a moment and even my pet seemed surprised by the snake."
“Then it turned towards me and I thought I could get a great frame - one that you rarely get the opportunity to get.
“I’m really happy with the result."
The Oriental whip snake, otherwise known as the Vine Snake, is known for its extraordinary fluorescent green colour, which camouflages it in the jungle.
Although mildly venomous, they are not considered a threat to humans.
